saving money on auto insurance

• drivers who switch to all-state save an average of $353
• drivers who switch to geico save an average of $230
• drivers who switch to liberty mutual save an average of 20%
• drivers who switch to state farm save an average of $426

at least that's what all the commercials say. you'd think i could get free insurance if i just switch insurance companies back and forth a few times. now how can this be? surely, someone must be lying. nope. they just aren't telling the whole truth. the reason they can all make this claim is because who the hell changes insurance companies to a more expensive company? no one. obviously, anyone who switches to a new insurer only switched because that new insurer was cheaper than their current insurer. all drivers who switch, save. drivers who don't save, don't switch. duh.
