arlington county has the best parking enforcement in the world. they never go home early. they are relentless and they are everywhere. they don't quit.
5:52 dan & laura park at a meter in shirtlington because the free lot is full. laura reads the sign on the meter, it requires feeding until 6pm. the meter has 1 minute left on it. laura is feeling a bit rebellious, it's friday night and it's been a rough week at work. we decide to take a chance.
5:53 meter expires
5:54 meter maid jumps out of the bushes and issues dan & laura a $25 parking ticket.
