So in case you were wondering, yes, Pahrump, NV is just as awesome as it sounds. In addition to the 4 bowling lanes it contained, the hotel lounge/restaurant was decorated floor to ceiling in NASCAR memorabilia. Today the plan is to drive through Death Valley National Park, then turn north heading up the east side of the Sierra Nevada's and then cut across through Yosemite National Park's Tioga Pass.

Road Trip - Day 5
Departure Point: Grand Canyon Village, AZ
Departure Time: 11:30am
Destination: Pahrump, NV
Miles Today: 342.3
Miles So Far: 2429.1
In case you are wondering why the miles from yesterday don't quite add up, we drove through Petrified Forest National Park yesterday, which wasn't planned out on my map. Today we're stopping at the Hoover Dam and Las Vegas. Mike's never been to Vegas before. I guess we'll at least go see the fountains at the Bellagio and maybe just walk up and down the strip.
